Tokushima Indigo A nib holder crafted from Japanese cherry and finished with an indigo dye.

Urushi A nib holder crafted from Japanese cherry and lacquered using the fuki-urushi (“wiped urushi”) technique, whereby the wood is impregnated with urushi lacquer to highlight the beauty of the grain.

Aluminium A nib holder machined from solid aluminium.

Delivery / Shipping & Handling

Take Note offers free shipping within Canada on orders of $125+ CAD, while smaller orders cost $11 in Ontario and $15 in the rest of Canada. Local delivery is available within 25 km of the store, also free on orders above $125. For the U.S., shipping is free on $250+ CAD orders; otherwise, it’s $16 CAD or the cheapest option at checkout.

For international customers, shipping costs are calculated at checkout or by email request. All deliveries are handled primarily through Canada Post, with rates and timelines varying based on destination and shipping option selected.
